I love him.

Shyness Misunterstood

I'm in a bit of a reflective mood today. My event is wrapping up, and I've had a day to run, reflect, and ponder my lil life.
It may come as a shock to many of you, and to others it won't be a surprise at all, but I am a painfully SHY person. Big social settings stress me out, I find it hard to carry on conversations with people I don't know well, and I would rather hang out with a group of close friends that can't get me to shut up. In this way, I'm a big nerd. It's OK. I've lived with it my whole life. I'm used to it.
That doesn't mean that I don't strive to change it. Sadly, I'm pretty bad at "putting myself out on a limb" and getting outside my comfort zone- but I do TRY.
Then one day a curious thing happened: I came out of my shell. THEN they couldn't get me to shut up and would say things like, "Remember when you didn't talk???" Ha. Good memories. I always did have quite a bit of social anxiety with the Americans and Aussies that I worked with- but I came to a point where I was totally myself with the local Chinese and Filipinos. Explain THAT one... ????
The process repeated itself, though not AS stressfully, when I moved to Orlando and performed in Beauty and the Beast. I didn't fit in with the girls- there were three subjects I could contribute to in conversation (pets, American Idol, and ... I forget the other one..) But eventually, happy-hyper-funny-crazy Amy appeared. It became a game of mine to pull out something witty and brilliant so that all the girls in "The Bat Cave" would stare at me in amazement. "SHE CAN BE FUNNY!" Yes. And I'm quite good at it. :-)
I worked special events where the process started all over again- but because of the short duration, I never had time to really be myself in those situations. Bah.
Some folks chalk it up to me being "The Mormon Girl." And for that, I am sad. I feel terrible that I could leave that impression of my Church upon people. It has nothing to do with the Mormons, folks, I'm just SHY.
Most folks chalk it up to me being "stuck up" and "cocky." Not the case. I'm just SHY.
... I'm just shy. Everything else in my life is pretty darn near perfect, but THAT is my challenge.
Guess I have a lifetime to figure it out...
Sooner than later would be nice.

Sunday Sunshine

1. Menchies. Thank you, Beautiful Yogurt Shop, for coming into my life. PLEASE BLESS someone opens one of these in UTAH.
2. Girls Night Out. Pizza. Friends. Menchies, of course. Great weeknight.
3. In five more sleeps I will have a husband again. YAY!!! I can't wait.
4. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. WHICH MEANS that Black Friday, holiday music, Christmas trees, candles, snow- It's all on its way!!! YIPPEE!!!
5. The Conference edition of the Ensign is out and getting some good use this week by your truly. I'm so grateful for the words of the Prophet and the other leaders of the Church. What inspired messages they all gave us. Can't wait to dig in.
6. Things are looking up for my Biff. For now, anyway. We're all still praying that that little girl of hers will keep on growing and come out many weeks from now healthy and ready for life. There're still lots of unknowns and scary things, but please keep up those prayers and happy thoughts going her way.
7. I love to clean. It makes me happy. I love having a clean, nice smelling place of my own.
8. JIF Natural Peanut Butter. Pretty good. Even Chuck likes it. Impressive.
9. In five more sleeps I will have a husband again. YAY!!! I can't wait. (Oh... did I already say this???)
10. What a privilege it is to work with talented people. Really, I feel so honored to be a part of this group I am currently working with. They are some incredibly talented people and I have LOVED being a part of the show with them this year.
11. The Biggest Loser Cardio Max has become a part of my life again. Thanks, Bob, for making me feel like I will someday have muscle on these legs of mine. Someday...
12. Oatmeal. I still love it.
13. Again, I feel blessed at the generousity of those in my life right now. Thanks for making things a bit easier in lots of ways.
14. Five more sleeps.
15. My former roomie gave me a BATH BOMB from Basin. Can't wait to use the thing. It smells heavenly.
16. It's about time for me to make my annual Christmas list. Those who know me well know that this is no small task. MY Christmas lists come with sales lists, price comparisons, and detailed item descripitions. They've been that way since I was about seven. Yes. I. Am. Really. Cool.
17. Life is good right now. I feel blessed. I'm still adjusting to life without a steady job and stuff, but I'm getting used to it and really enjoying it as well. Yep. I'm happy.
Happy Week-ing, Folks.

From Biff's Blog...
An Explanation... (Again, from BIFF'S BLOG)
I have been pregnant the last 18 weeks and have not told a lot of people about it :-) sorry people. Unfortunately this exciting announcement has been dampened by a difficult pregnancy.
This baby is a complete surprise to us. Before I even new I was pregnant I had strange bleeding. Soon after this I found out I was pregnant and the Doctor had me come in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks to make sure everything was okay. At this time they diagnosed me with a subchorionic hemorrhage. In easier terms it basically means that there is a bleed where the sac attaches to the uterus (later this area because the placenta). They put me on bed rest for a week which I strictly obeyed.... okay, okay... I actually did the bed rest thing for almost three days and then went on a vacation to San Francisco with Brett, Kensie, Amy and Chuck. We had planned this vacation long before to visit my Aunt Jodi and Uncle Jeff. This sounds horrible I am sure but I honestly got more rest there with so many people willing to watch Kensie the tornado. When we did go out and about we rented a wheel chair that Brett got to push all over San Fransisco. I told Amy and Jodi they were not aloud to release any wheelchair photos until I had told people I was pregnant. At this point I was only 7 weeks along and I was told because it was such a large bleed that the chances of me miscarrying were very high. Because of this we only told a select few I was pregnant.
At 10 weeks I had another ultrasound and the doctor told me the subchorionic hemorrhage had healed. He said, "It looks like you are going to be one of those people where this heals and you have a great pregnancy". At fourteen weeks I started to bleed a little bit so the doctor scheduled the big ultrasound for 18 weeks instead of 20. So last Tuesday I had the 18 week ultrasound which showed about 6cm of blood down by the cervix. They believe the subchorionic hemorrhage has not healed, and now the edge of the placenta is slightly torn away from the uterus. At that time the doctor put me on bed rest for two weeks. Well, the next morning (Wednesday) I woke at 5:00am in a puddle of bright red blood. Brett took me to the ER and the baby was okay. We were there about 3 hours and were finally able to go home. On Friday I woke in another puddle of bright red blood at 4:00am. We spoke with the Doctor on call and I went into the clinic when it opened at 9:00am. They did another ultrasound and the baby is still doing great. They have done labs to make sure I have not lost too much blood and so far I am okay. I woke up one more time Saturday night in a puddle of blood but the baby is moving and doing well.
Now you are pretty much updated with my pregnancy so far. I am on bed rest for two weeks but if I do not bleed for one week then I can slowly increase my activity. I have an appointment next week just to check the babies heart rate and then in two weeks they will do another ultrasound.
Now you know the real reason I am updating my blog... I am bored to death and have nothing else to do :-) I am doing okay however and I am just grateful that we are blessed with so many family members close by willing to help out. I am sure you are all wondering one more thing...

Southern Style Sunday Sunshine
Happies of This Week:
1. Dear Sky Mall: Thanks for entertaining me for several hours in the last few days. I now know that if I ever need slippers with lights on the toes, that I can purchase them from your handy dandy, coffee stained catalog.
Oh, and if I ever need a neck rest that looks like a real kitty, I'll give you a call. However, I wish you would feature that item in your online catalog so I could show my readers. Fix that, please.
2. I spent the day working with great people and extremely talented vocalists. Great day.
3. I'm very blessed to have some very generous people in my life. Thanks to those of you who are making this Southern experience as cost efficient as possible. I'm still a newlywed and I THOROUGHLY appreciate your kindness. :-)
4. I had a FANTASTIC time at the salon the other day. Thank heaven for scissors and hair dye! (And PS: I never thought I would be "that kind" of girl- who dyed her hair and kind of obsessed over it... well... here I am... and I am HAPPY that I'm no longer as content with my dead mouse colored blonde hair). It's just an expensive habit... which is WHY I hadn't had it done in NINE MONTHS!!!
5. The change away from Daylight Savings makes me happy. Standard time reminds me that the holidays are on their way!
6. I'm being reminded of my single days tonight... roommates at Break the Fast and a CES fireside... I'm hanging out here listening to the broadcast. It's great. And it makes me happy. I'm just enjoying it in a different capacity than I did when I lived in Orlando. Ha.
7. My sister has received a number of tender mercies and blessings in her life this week, but she is in need of a great deal more. Could you please include her in your prayers? The pregnancy has encountered some major complications... That would give me more reasons for "Sunshine" this coming week. :-)
8. I love my house. I do. And I am so thankful for my cute husband for buying it for us.
9. I still love my wedding ring. Always will.
10. Cereal is my favorite food. Besides pizza.
11. Had a Red Mango Monday with my Kallie Ann on Monday. And I got to see my Playmill lady Bronwyn (who I still see as an 11 year old... yikes...) on Friday. She's all grown up now and getting ready for her first semester at BYU-I.
. . . So there ya go. Hope y'all have a great week. Stay tuned for more randoms. I feel like I am losing readers.
Gotta come up with some good posts soon!

Waiting...

It's my first Utah winter since 2005. I'm anxious.
Waiting for the first snowfall is the perfect excuse for staying cuddled up in your warm bed till at least 11 a.m. Right?

Sunday Sunshine- Late Night Edition

1. HAPPY SEVEN MONTHS to me and "The Boy!" Does life always goes this fast??? It's tripping me out.
2. One week from tonight I'll be back in Orlando getting ready for another "20+" show.
3. I re-did my blog this weekend. That's happy because I had the time to do it. Not like my life is all that busy in the first place, but I know that if I've taken time to redo my blog, things must be pretty simple right now. It feels nice.
4. VERY SOON is when I'll be on the glorified boat ride. BRING. IT. ON.
5. I've discovered Kroger brand yogurt from Smiths. I used to be EXTREMELY faithful to Yoplait, UNTIL I found out that the dang stuff contains high fructose corn syrup (as it's second ingredient!!!) What the?? Ugh. So I have found that this lovely Smiths brand contains milk and fruit as its top ingredients. Thank you, Smiths. I've always loved you.
6. Got to meet our little niece Skye this weekend. Cute lil thing was born six weeks early and got to come home last week. Love her!
7. DISNEYLAND: Great trip. I'll post pictures soon. I think this should be called "THE MONTH OF DISNEY." Chuck and I are spending way too much time with THE MOUSE this month.
8. Kensie turns TWO on Friday! I got her a FANTASTIC gift. Thank you, Costco.
9. Getta go see Little Shop of Horrors on Tuesday. My dear "Chrinstian" is the star. Happiness.
10. I kinda CAN NOT WAIT for January. I need me some "Bachelor."
11. Biff finds out her kind of baby on Tuesday. The brat isn't gonna tell me until FRIDAY. Sheesh. Boy or girl? Votes?
12. Chuck is snuggly lately. Thank heaven. It's cold.
13. I'm starting to see my abs. I know that sounds vain and obsessive, but I am beyond happy about it. Thank you, Layer of Fat, for finally starting to disappear. It's only taken 28 years...
14. This stuff called LEMI SHINE is a lifesaver when you have hard water. I have a great appreciation for it and it, yes, makes me happy.
15. I'm going to bed early! For the first time in weeks I'm getting to bed before 11. Night, folks!!!

Late Again...

1. I LOVE AUTUMN. I love the crisp, clean air, sweaters, coming home and putting on sweats and a hoodie- I love it all. This is definitely my favorite season.
2. I love the FOOD of this time of year. Last night I had my dad and his family over for chili, cornbread, and apple cider. HEAVEN.
3. This next item comes under the same category as the previous, but it deserves it's very own number in "Sunday Sunshine." The TEXAS TORNADO, or so my sister calls it, is a blend of pumpkin and yellow cake goodness that words cannot describe. It is DIVINITY in a Fall time dessert. Yep. Try it.
1 can Easy pumpkin (You know, the kind that's already spiced and ready to go?? Or if you are domesticated and have the time spice up your own and yada yada, go for it...)
2 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
2 sticks of butter
1 yellow cake mix
Mix the pumpkin, eggs, and evaporated milk together and pour it into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the pumpkin mixture.
Melt the two sticks of butter and then pour the butter evenly over the yellow cake mix. (Yep, lots of butter. Terrible for the body- but sometimes (rarely...) I say, "WHO CARES!")
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
4. Vacation time is coming up. Disneyland AND Orlando AND the glorified-for-a-good-reason boat ride. Happy.
5. The holidays are coming. Just TALKING about Black Friday with my dad last night made me giddy with excitement. Christmas music, snow, crowds, wearing the cute coats I haven't worn several years... This is my first holiday season at home since 2005. Can't wait.
6. My cousin Kallie and I experienced, a few weeks ago, the happiness that is RED MANGO. Awesome.
7. Teaching my class at the Scera is great fun. I am so thankful I have that job.
8. Glee continues to make me gleeful. And Chuck and I are thoroughly enjoying Survivor this season as well.
9. Let's discuss Jim and Pam's wedding: I could have watched that preview over and over again. It sent me right back into my little private apartment in Hong Kong where I would watch Jim and Pam for hours and hours in my loneliness. I jumped on my couch and CRIED when they finally kissed at the end of season 2. Yes, I am one of many who waited anxiously for this wedding. It made me happy.
I miss the brilliant wit and funnies of the first three seasons. I hope it returns...
10. On Thursday I unexpectedly heard from a dear friend whom I've lost contact with over the past year. It was a few simple texts, but they made me happy. At first I thought they were somehow sent to the wrong "Amy." And maybe they were. But for the meantime, I'll assume they were for me. That simple contact meant a lot.
11. Chuck and I have been studying the Doctrine and Covenants with an Institute manual the past several weeks. It has REALLY helped us and we're getting a lot more out of the scriptures now. It feels great!
12. Conference: I haven't discussed this yet due to my lack of Sunshine posting lately. Unfortunately, I worked throughout a lot of this General Conference. I am anxiously awaiting the Ensign so I can read what I didn't see, and review what I did. The Sunday morning session was great fun. Chuck and I made brunch for several of my cousins and we spent the session in my cozy little house with pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc etc etc, listening to the words of the prophets. Doesn't get much better than that.
13. I've come to an interesting place in regard to my career in the last few weeks. I'm still testing the waters of how I feel about it all, but so far so good. No tears, only a little drama... ;-) We'll see where things take me in the next several months. I'm never sure...
14. This week I have time to clean, organize, and basically do whatever I want. I'm thrilled about it.
Happy.

Yes, I Know...

Do I know that Jack is gonna save Rose from throwing herself overboard?
Do I know that Rose won't really chop Jack in half with the ax when she tries to free him from the handcuffs?
Do I know that Rose and Jack will somehow get those keys and unlock the gate right at they are about to be swallowed by the waters of the Atlantic?
Do I know that Jack will tragically die before the life boat comes back to get them?
AND DO I KNOW that the old lady is gonna drop the giant diamond into the ocean at the end? (Yes Alicia, some Britney is coming into my head about now...)
The answer to all of these questions is a quick "YES."
But sometimes, you just need some Titanic in your life.

Me Wanty

Perhaps it's because I am using every last penny I make to pay off a certain glorified-with-good-reason boat ride, but dang, I am in the mood for shopping right now.
Just give me everything at the Shabby Apple website to start off with.
Then let me get myself several $15 sweaters from Target. (Really? Is that too much to ask?) OK OK- and lots of other sweaters too!
I want a bunch of new jeans.
And perhaps some cute skirts and tights.
And a vacuum.
And lots of new shoes for winter.
And while we're at it, can I get my hair dyed? It's been since February. Yeah- I just admitted that on the World Wide Web.

Where I've Been...

No comments thus far about me looking prego in a certain dress. THANK YOU.
In a matter of weeks I will be enjoying the fruits of all my labor as Chuck and I board the DISNEY MAGIC for our cruisey cruise. Can't. Wait.
Guess the time at Costco will be worth it. ;-)

Sunday Sunshine
Before I begin with happies...
To some, two years is nothing. But hey- it's all we've got right now... so yay for us! Here's the jist of our "anniversary" day- September 12.

For those of you who might have missed it last year... Each year I am making a book for Chuck for the anniversary of our being "together." The book is filled with every little thing that I have saved- notes, mushy emails, movie tickets, anything inside joke-ish, etc. etc. etc. and LOTS of photos. It's great for documenting our life together and I'm pretty dang proud of it all. Now I need a fire proof safe to keep them all in!!! Oh, and thanks to Costco for the albums and Mod-Podge for making them cute. Yep.
Here's a reminder of last year's book:

STATE FAIR time!
Don't we look AMAZING with the sun blinding us??

(Despite what my husband thinks...)

to this restaurant? WHY is there only ONE in Utah?
(Good thing it's close to us!!!!)

Sunday Sunshine:
#1: I got to go to Relief Society today. I'd forgotten about the weeping and sentiment that goes on there- I loved it! They've called an assistant chorister to Primary so now she teaches senior Primary and I go to Relief Society. I am VERY thankful for that. VERY. (Long story short: Our Primary program- which the chorister is a VERY important part of- is in November when I am going to be out of town... they needed someone else to lead, so they got a co-chorister of sorts. Again, I am happy about it...)
#2: Chuck and I have been riding bikes for the last couple weeks! It reminds me so much of childhood- I love it. We got him a bike on KSL for super cheap and have been riding all over the place ever since. Guess we've gotta get in what we can before the weather goes bad on us...
#3: NOVEMBER IS GETTING CLOSER. I CAN NOT WAIT FOR NOVEMBER.

#4: My ideas aren't always so creative, but my husband's are! Here we are making little painted popsicle sticks for the Primary kids. Cute.

#5: Spent the afternoon with Kensie yesterday. The kid can now say whatever she wants and has this little irresistible face that I just wanna squish. Love that girl.
#6: The Office started again. We had Kristi and Andrew and Luke over for the premiere and it was great fun. I love having my regular Thursday nights back!!!
#7: Hilly should be having her baby this week!!! YAY!
#8: Glee: It still makes me Gleeful.
#9: I worked my tail off the last couple weeks and soon I can say that November's excursion is officially ours to enjoy. Can't wait.
#10: I LOVE GROCERY SHOPPING. I have been quite sad and cranky the last couple weeks. But we got paid Tuesday and I spend LOTS of time shopping around for food. It really REALLY put me in brighter spirits. I was also able to clean my house, organize a little... it was wonderful. I need more days and more money to grocery shop. :-)

#11: I'm really enjoying the class I teach at the Scera. It gives me one time a week to really do what I love and share it with a group of crazy fun junior high kids. I'm so thankful the whole opportunity came up.
That'll be it for today I guess. Welcome to the new week!

The Mind of a Musical Theatre Nerd...
Ahhhh- another reason to love GLEE.
I dunno about "normal" people, but to us MT peeps, breaking into your own fantasy of song and dance when someone has wronged/loved/excited/disappointed/etc. etc. etc. you is perfectly normal.
I only wish I could film my musical moments...

Poster Child... Again.
![]()
Thank you, Hale Centre Theatre, for always using me as your poster child. It's fun.
I have always hated my hands- and this picture only increases my detest for them. Too bad my acrylics had come off at that point... sigh. Ah well, at least I HAVE hands, right?
Anyway, The Drowsy Chaperone is coming to the Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley next November. Be there! :-)

Sunshine of a Sunday Sort

Thank heaven for a relaxing Sabbath. It's been a tough couple weeks, but there is definitely some light in my life and I am looking intensely to see it right now. :-)
1. I got a little job and I am thrilled about it. On Thursday nights I'll be at the Scera Theatre in Orem teaching the Youth Theatre group, "General Rukus." I have four GREAT assistants to help me out- because right now I have NO idea what is going on or what to expect... ha ha. BUT I am really happy about helping others learn to do what I know so well. HAPPY HAPPY.
2. Cruise: Booked. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. Now I have to pay for it...
3. I'm the queen of choristing in church. Say hello to the new ward chorister and the STILL Primary chorister. Shoulders after 3 hours= OUCH.
4. I made some fantastic turkey/guacamole burgers the other night. HEALTHY CAN BE YUMMY! I had a happy husband...
5. Chuck and I finally got our office organized. YIPPEE! He draws and blogs and I blog and do whatever else I do on this thing we call "The Internet."
6. Know anyone who is getting married? Cuz I'm getting resourceful here, folks. RENT MY WEDDING DRESS!
7. My step-mom and father-in-law are both recovering from surgery. For those who asked, Diane had knee surgery(to fix a problem from surgery a YEAR ago) and Chuck's dad had a hip replaced. Thanks for the prayers and love and stuff for both of them.
8. Blue Diamond makes these fantastic almonds- Cinnamon Brown Sugar. Glorious goodness. I love 'em.
9. Chuck and I have become gamers lately. We're obsessed with Settlers (Yeah- a few years late but we finally got on board!), and Wackee Six is another fav. Thanks to all those who play with us ALL THE TIME. Travis and Kristy, Hilly and Tavnir... yeah. You guys are cool.
10. Google calendar is becoming an addiction. What? I have lots to put on it!
11. As of next Saturday Chuck and I have been together for two years. Awwwww.
12. My glitter toes from last Saturday's adventure with my mother-in-law and sis-in-law came off today. But I gotta say that I loved em. Someday, when I have money to spend on frivolous things, I want weekly pedis and massages. And I will totally go for glitter toes as well- even if by that time they are so "2009."
13. My husband is cute when he works on things he loves. He gets obsessed. It's okay that I don't exist... Ha ha. Kidding. He's actually really good about getting off the computer when I am demanding attention. :-)
14. I get to play Costco model again in a few weeks... (Payingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruisepayingforthecruise...)
15. Kensie is gonna be a big sister.
16. Also, when I am rich and can spend money on frivolous things, I will use TIDE and not SUN laundry detergent. The smell of Tide just makes me giddy with happiness. My aunt Jodi had it at her house a few weeks ago. Sniff.
17. Geico sent us Florida insurance cards. It made me nostalgic. Remember how I lived there for a couple years? That was fun.
18. Due to Chuck's insistence that we drink something other than water (he does like water...) in this house (UGH)- I have purchased lots of generic versions of Crystal Light. It's lovely. Enjoyable.
19. Hilly is having a baby soon! YAY!
20. My sister-in-law Kristy has given me a way to earn a bit of extra money and I have really appreciated it. We're both trying to find whatever we can to bring in some extra dollars. And funny- I enjoy doing it!
21. The joys of Primary: Sunbeam boy playing with himself in the front row. Primary boy whips out his thing. I love that kids have no inhibitions. Just whip it out when you feel like it.
22. Bed time. I love bed time. I love to sleep. HAPPY. HAPPY. HAPPY.

Thursday Morning Randoms.

This morning I woke up with a song from my 1986 Kindergarten Christmas program in my head. What the ???? . Whatever.
Chuck wakes up every morning and tells me about his crazy dreams. This morning is was about performing walri (because that word is more fun than the true plural of "walruses") that his boss owned and gave a $400K yearly salary. He now wants a raise.
My freezer is making weird noises... the temp in the fridge was really cold this morning and the temp in the freezer was low enough that things started to thaw... what is wrong with the thing??? I've never owned a fridge. Help.
Is it November yet?
Speaking of November, I can not believe that it is September. This year has FLOWN by.
My tomato plants are huge and producing lots of tomatoes for me and the husband to enjoy. I like gardens.
The Office starts again in two weeks. I have to admit, though, that I am not NEARLY as excited for its return as I have been for past seasons. I feel that it's losing steam...
Glee is back next week. Cannot wait!
September 12 marks two years of Chuck and I being "together." If any of you remember the project from last year, you may understand why blogging hasn't happened much lately. I'm BUSY.
My father-in-law and step-mom are both in the hospital recovering from surgery. Thankfully things have gone well so far.
Yeah. I think that's it. No more thoughts for the morning.

A Reminder...
WARNING: This is a candid post that my mother will not like.
Yeah- so everyone has been posting this lately, but it's a reminder I, and lots of other people need. I used to be VERY passionate about this subject- texting while driving was NOT an option, but I will be the first to admit that lately I have slipped up. No text message is worth this kind of consequence.
I always feel a sense of "it couldn't happen to me" when I text and drive. All those feelings of teen aged invincibility- that I never really had AS a teen- seem to hit me when I get a text while I drive. STUPID. And on occasion, I find myself slamming on the breaks or swerving back into my lane... STUPID.
I often feel as if texting is ruining our lives anyway- maybe I should just completely get rid of it... I WOULD if I didn't feel as if my connection to the world would be cut off. What ever happened to a good old face-to-face visit? Sigh.

Too Cute to Miss...

Hope she doesn't mind, but this story was posted by my friend Dave's wife, Mindy, the other day. I REALLY had to copy it to my blog because it was so hilarious.
Not Until You're 23
This is how my conversation with Lincoln went this morning:Linc: "Mom, where are we going?"
Me: "You're going to the temple with your primary."
Linc: "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE!"
Then 5 or so minutes of arguing over the fact that he is, indeed, going to the temple.
Finally out of sheer frustration that I wasn't getting it, he tells me what's really bothering him.
Linc: "But Mom, I don't want to get married today!"
Me (trying really hard not to laugh out loud): "Honey you don't have to get married today."
Linc: "But you said I'm going to the temple."
Me: "You are going to the temple. But Buddy, there are other reasons you go to the temple besides getting married."
Linc: "I don't want to get married today."
Me: "I PROMISE you won't get married today...but you do have to go to the temple with your class...and be nice to your teachers."
Heaven help us.

Kind of Obsessed...

I LOVE Rachel McAdams. I just DO. She's GORGEOUS and a brilliant actress. She is my woman crush. I asked Chuck if he had a man crush and he said he doesn't. I want him to have a man crush to validate my woman crush. But he doesn't.
That's all.
