The Weekend!

Yay. Ok- so there's really nothing new to report, but it's been a good weekend so I am happy about that! YAY! The weeks go by sooooo extremely fast- it's hard to believe it's almost February. I graduate three months from TODAY!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! So close... yet still so far away. Still no decision on what I am doing with myself when I DO graduate, but I will find something! :-) Tuesday, in our New York Showcase class the girls are all doing an audition for Disney. There's some new "Snow White" show they're putting up- it pays well and you get your foot in the door with Disney- so we'll see how that goes. "Someday my prince will come..."
Friday night I went out with some of my high school girlfriends. Melissa (Allphin) Garn, Aubrey (Airmet) Shiner, Heather (Gibby) Ward, Jenna (Anderson) Egbert, and I spent the night talking and pigging out off the 106 South exit. :-) Southtowne Mall area... Anyway- we went to this great Italian place for dinner- Johnny Carinos (Ricks people REMEMBER trips to IF to go to "JOHNNY'S"). I ate sooooo much food. I had a huge plate of cheese tortilonni (however ya spell it...) and then I had some cheesecake. THEN we went to the mall and I bought this great pant suit thing for $36 at Dillards. Made me happy! From there we headed to an ice cream place called Maggie Moo's... and do not ask WHY- but I got a smore sundae. HELLO! Could I eat any more that night?!?!?!? But hey, it was REALLY good food!!! :-) At Maggie Moo's we just sat and ate and talked for a few hours. At 11 the place closed so we all piled in Jenna's car for another couple hours and talked some more. Soooo much fun. It was great to be with those girls who've known me for so long, ya know?
For those of you who know my cousin Melissa (Yissa as she was known to you BYU-I folk), she's having a baby in September! YAY for that! My Grandma Carol is on her way to becoming a great-grandmother. Cute.
Anyway, so that's about it. Nothing new really. I'm just doing the school thing. :-)

Smiley or Not Smiley Headshot, Folks???

OK- so here's my smiley headshot. I need y'all to tell me which one would be best to use for my senior showcase. I like the non smiley one, but this one is "Amy". Sooooo, feedback anyone? :-)

Here I am going to my LAST "First Day of School." Now if I could find the picture of my FIRST "First Day of School," that would be fun. But who knows where the heck that is. :-)

My Last "First Day of School!"

I think I will take pictures in front of my apartment with my backpack... going to "The Last First Day of School." Ha. So tomorrow morning at 10 I begin my sixth, and last semester at BYU. Wahoo! My schedule this semester is going to be pretty relaxing- only 12 credits- which is something I LOVE!!!! HOWEVER, I have to break my terrible habit of not being able to get out of bed before 10 am...hmmmm. I used to be such a morning person... what happened? I think I'm getting old. Ha ha.
Anyway,- This semester I am taking a stage makeup class, a Music/Dance/Theatre choreography class, voice lessons, church history, a Temples class, and the MDT senior showcase. Life isn't going to be extremely hard this semester, which I am thankful for! So yay, here I go to enjoy the end of my time here at BYU!!!

New Headshot for My Senior Showcase

My new headshot! Since classes start on Tuesday, I had to get my new headshots done for the "senior showcase" class. In April, after graduation, the MDT program takes its seniors to New York where we will perform in a showcase for casting agents and other "important people." :-) For my part of the show, I will be singing "Jimmy" from the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Fun and exciting stuff. :-)

Amy Becomes a Blogger!

Well who knew I could ever figure out this blogging thing? OK- so I know it's not too hard, but this was an afternoon well spent trying to figure it all out! Anyway, so now I am a blogger! WAHOO!
Details of my life right now? Well, I am just getting ready to start my last semester at BYU as a Music/Dance/Theatre major. I graduate in April, and in the next little while I'll be in the process of figuring out "what's next!" It's exciting, but at the same time it freaks me out knowing that my college career is ending... it's been a great six years. (Ha ha...) Up until this point, its been pretty easy to know what's coming, but now- it's all a guessing game! :-) During fall semester I was in "Beauty and the Beast" at the Hale Theatre in Orem. It was such a fun show, and ran for two and a half months. So, when it was over, I was ready :-) Anyway, I'll post some pics so y'all can see what I look like as a brunette... WEIRD! :-)
